Congratulations! Your wedding day should be fun, relaxed, and focused around you – the beautiful bride. The bridal consolation should be an open, honest dialogue about what you can expect the day of your wedding. These questions will help cover the bases and give you insights into your consultant’s practice.
Will you do a trial run with me before my wedding?
A trial run is highly recommended. You put all this time into planning your perfect day – be sure that you don’t forget to do a little planning for the star of the show – you! A trial should take place at least a couple months before the big day. This is the time to play with a few styles you had in mind and to try different headpieces. You can also practice attaching and removing your veil or hair pieces.
Do you work on location?
Many brides prefer to have the professionals come to them on their wedding day. Love and Style On prefers to come to you. Most brides chose to do their styling at a hotel with their bridesmaids in order to create a more relaxing morning.
Do you want to see photos of hair and makeup looks I like? What about photos of my wedding dress, décor, venue or inspiration?
The more pictures the better! Pictures help gain a sense of what you want your look to be.
If I change my mind about my bridal beauty look, is there a charge for a re-trial?
The trial is important for a variety of reasons – not only do you get a chance to spend some one-on-one time with the Love and Style On team member that will be working with you on your wedding day, but you’ll also get to “try on” your wedding beauty look. Before coming to the trial, chose one or two looks you’d like to try. You’ll have the chance to see how they compare and contrast during the trial. If after the trial, you change your mind, speak to your professional. A whole new trial may not be required, but if it makes sense, a new appointment will be extra service charge.
Are you familiar with my particular skin or hair type?
From sensitive skin to super curly hair to any other beauty quirk, the Love and Style on team has decades of beauty experience. If something does arise, we will be honest and upfront and honest.
Are there any extra day-of charges I should know about?
Depending on your needs on the day of the wedding, there may be, but all fees and charges will be discussed during your consultation so there will be no surprises.
What happens if you are ill or otherwise unable to make it on my wedding day?
In my entire professional career, this has never happened. If an unavoidable event did happen, there is back-up stylists on-call.
Will you have any other commitments on my wedding day?
Your time with Love and Style On is exclusive – we will not double book appointments.
